its really easy
prerequisites :
1 : windows 7 running system
2 : Ubuntu installer disk or usb
3 : 30-40 minutes
NOTE : I do not issue any guarantee that this will work for you! use google for other troubleshooting , i demonstrated it under simulated virtual environment
firstly download Ubuntu ( release : 12.04 )
burn it in cd or create usb drive
and reboot in Ubuntu installer
1 : click on 'install now '
2 : choose install side by side
3 : select size for your new installation

4 : select continue
5 : go like normal installation ' next next next
6 : import windows 7 documents and home folder settings
7 : after finishing installation click restart and reboot into Ubuntu

On step 3. the drag left or right to allocate drive space to each partition... How do I know if the left side is Windows or the left side is Ubuntu?
ReplyDeleteI want to allocate Ubuntu only 100GB, and the rest of my 500GB to Windows, and its bootloader and other partitions...How do I know which way to drag the thing???
