yesterday one of my friends told me that he is facing weird kind of problem while installing windows 8 CP in vmware workstation 8
then i tried to install windows 8 in my own PC , amazing i got the same error
"windows cannot read the <productKey> settings from the unattended answer file"
actually its not an error , if you are not entered windows 8 activation keys while creating vm then this problem occur

method 1 :
enter the key while creating vm
windows 8 CP key
